Mexuar Communications, a UK technology company, launched on Monday (12 March) Corraleta Connect, an advanced hosted service that enables rapid deployment of VoIP click-to-talk applications for online businesses.

Corraleta Connect delivers click-to-talk functionality on a company's website to help improve customer service and retention. Calls made by website visitors using Corraleta Connect are free, regardless of location. Using Corraleta Connect, a visitor to the website can use their web browser and computer to make free calls to sales or support staff in the company's contact centre.

Corraleta Connect takes users from the web page to a VoIP call with a live agent within ten seconds. The service can also detect if the user's PC is not VoIP-capable, and the user is then prompted to enter a preferred telephone number for a callback from the contact centre. The service works on any type of web browser - both PC and Macintosh - with no special software required on the website visitor's computer. The service costs around GBP50 per month for each agent answering a call, including maintenance and on-going support.
