Ian started his career in the family business of Hospital Engineering Ltd where he still performs the role of Managing Director. Ian helped develop that business into a multi million pound business, acquiring excellent General Management and Logistic management skills.

He also developed the IT elements of the business. Initially he built a very good working relationship with Siemens, who eventually bought the IT rights to the company, created a new company HE Information Systems which Ian continued to act as CEO and as Technical Director for another Siemens company.

Just prior to the Y2K program in 1999, Ian bought back the controlling share of HE Information Systems, continued to develop the company and acquired all the shares in 2002.

He further developed the company and sold it to an AIM listed plc Ascribe. Here he took up a part time role, latterly as the Director of Products. Once Ian completed his contracted time with Ascribe he left to continue many different business interests.

This has resulted in him being the owner or significant equity partner in a number of diverse companies, including:

• Mexuar Communications
• Mexuar Technologies
• My Wildest Dreams – yacht charter business and
• Asteartea 1980 sl.

Via Mexuar Communications Ian has developed Corraleta which offers probably the most innovative 'Call Handling','Call Scheduling' and 'Conferencing' solutions available in the market today.
